My husband and I had an amazing time at the treehouse! a totally magical, tranquil, nourishing nest that refreshed my spirit and soul. Gary was very responsive and helpful. I really appreciated all the details that went into making the treehouse comfortable and functional, yet beautiful and artistic too. Can’t wait to go back someday!

We had a great time! While there, our 5 year old kept exclaiming how much she loves nature! This is a site for those who want to feel far away from it all and unplug. Quiet, starry sky, babbling brook, view of Mt Shasta, fresh air! It’s worth it!

This spot is special. It was truly magical from sunset to stargazing to sunrise with coffee on the deck. I wish I could have stayed longer than just one night! It was clean and private and altogether lovely.

This may be the most amazing place I have ever stayed! Peace, solitude, and adventure... definitely feels isolated, in the best possible way. The camping kitchen was such a wonderful touch and the creek is everything my heart hoped it would be. Thanks for an incredible time!

I kind of hate to share secret of this place. Beautiful, well cared for, peaceful, and safe. Just enough off the main roads for privacy, quiet and wildlife, but close enough to pick up ice or anything else forgotten. Lots of nearby hiking and water. Loved it and will stay again.

Absolutely gorgeous! We loved this spot and will absolutely be back. Gary is great, very helpful and responsive.

Beautiful. Quiet. Calm. This campsite is a gem. We only stayed one night but wished we could have been there for a week. It has everything you need - a stream for water, a fire pit with plentiful firewood, a hammock for relaxing, a picnic table for eating and an awesome deck/platform for pitching your tent on. We loved this place and will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

The meadow camp site was magical! If you like Mountain View’s, meadows with butterflies and wildflowers with a fresh stream rushing through, you will love this campsite. We love this spot and will be back!

So much to say about this place — in a nutshell, it’s perfect. We went in the spring, when there were wildflowers in the meadows and weather in the 70s. The views are better and more sweeping than the pictures show; the vista is enormous and Shasta towers over you. There are several small and idyllic springs flowing through the property, mountains behind you and there’s an awesome tree house on the property.

We had the BEST time staying here! What a magical oasis - the perfect spot for a social distancing trip. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. Will definitely be back!

Magical spot - a place to forget your worries and instead listen to the water lull you to sleep. The treehouse fits a family of four and a dog just fine ( bring an air mattress and lay it on the floor so the end goes under the platform bed).

We had a great stay at the treehouse! We arrived at night and had no issues finding the site. The treehouse was adorable and as described. Plenty of lights inside for night time. We enjoyed being able to sleep on the bed platform, too. Even with all the large windows, the treehouse still feels private, tucked away behind lots of mossy trees by the creek. The sunrise over Mt Shasta was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend walking out to the meadow for sunrise/sunset.

My daughters, their bf’s, my sister and I stayed for two nights and found the site nothing less than perfect. Solitude. Serenity. Perfect weather. Warm calm breeze throughout our stay. The small yet very active water creek just feet from the camp was ideal. And refreshingly cold too. An excellent cell signal. The hammock/deck off in the meadow was a nice surprise. The fire pit was also enjoyable. Berryvale market for organic foods in Mt Shasta was excellent as well. All in all we never felt like we were in California. This camp and Mt Shasta is a hidden gem.

The Shasta View Meadow is awesome! The water right out of the creek was delicious and cool, and a calming sound to fall asleep to. Plenty of firewood, level wooden platforms, and provided chairs made the stay especially hospitable. As the campsite is rather large, and partially wooded, views of the mountain are best when out in the meadow. Don’t forget to check out the amazing view from the hammock or Adirondack chairs!

Amazing! Worth it!
The location - the privacy - the views - the drive - the smells - the setup - the creek - the wrap-around platform - the trees - the propane tanks and cookware - the vantage point - the sounds - the coziness and perfectly sized house .... ALL PERFECTION ❤️ Thank You!

My experience at Shasta View was incredible! Thanks, Gary! First off, the location is perfect—feels remote, but isn’t too far from a town. Upon arriving on the property, I couldn’t wait to step into the meadow to behold the view. But first, the bubbling brook was crystal clear and refreshing (and downright chilly)! After crossing the small bridge, I was not disappointed. The wide open view of Mt. Shasta was phenomenal. I lingered in the nearby hammock and sat on the deck chairs and stared at the mountain. The sounds of birds and the brook were all I could hear, which made my two night stay perfect.

Magical! We loved our stay at Shasta View meadow. We were camping with our two boys, 2 and 5, and it was the perfect spot for us. We played in and around the pristine stream, went for a walk around the property, and watched the thunder heads roll in. My boys enjoyed the experience. The water was delicious. I can’t say enough. I highly recommend this place! Oh, and Gary was very friendly and helpful. Overall wonderful experience.

This treehouse was the best hip camp my wife and I have booked thus far! We loved every minute of being there! It’s situated right in front of a creek that runs all the way down the site with a hammock hovering above it. The treehouse is tucked away, away from the entrance (about 100 yards up). Gary was major accommodating to helping us find this place: the best host we’ve dealt with!

WOW is really all there is to say. My sister and I camped here as part of a road trip, and it was definitely the most spectacular space we visited! Great view of Mount Shasta from the meadow and the treehouse/amenities were exactly what we needed. Simply put, a beautiful experience from top to bottom. Hope we get to visit again!! Great for camping with a baby.

This secret hide away from the world was magical, our favorite night and the perfect ending to our 7 day camping trip. My two young children and I stayed in the tree house and had a blast. The creek was the perfect spot for us to cool down and the water also tasted really good!  We also went to Castle Lake which is recommended by Gary. It is a beautiful lake with very few people.

What a magical place! I almost hate to write this review because I want it to be our special secret, but since the kind and available host, Gary, shared it with us other people should be able to enjoy it too. Absolutely wonderful.

This is a perfect place for people looking for a private, visually striking, and somewhat rugged experience. For starters, the view and location simply can’t be beat! The only sounds you hear are the sounds of nature and the occasional distant train. No cars, no other people, no planes, no construction, just serene quiet. Both the meadow that you are camping in and the mountain view were breathtakingly beautiful.

Stayed at the meadow campsite June 15 and 16. I’ve been camping all my life and this is one of the most beautiful campsites I’ve ever been to. I watched sunset and sunrise colors play in the sky and on the mountain. The meadow flowers were pinks, yellows. and blues. At dusk the deer passed the camp, slowly munching on grass. I drank from the creek and dunked into the refreshing pool of water. The meadow camp is gorgeous. There is a hammock hanging in a clump of cedar trees behind the platform— lay in the shade with a view of the mountain. Glorious.

Beautiful location. My fiancee (now wife) and I were looking for secluded location to have a small 4 person wedding ceremony and stumbled across ShastaView. We could not have imagined a more beautiful, serene location. As soon as we got out of our car we were greeted by a babbling brook. The view of Mt Shasta is truly breathtaking.

I loved this site so much that I almost don’t want to let the secret out. Amazingly beautiful and scenic. The upkeep is great - so many little details were thought of and the site was so clean and undisturbed that we couldn’t tell if anyone had been there before us. I will definitely be back.
