ShastaView is a gorgeous 5 acre property that slopes gently to the east providing ever-changing, dramatic compositions featuring the cloud formations unique to Mt Shasta. The property has a cold water stream running through it's length and divides a meadow from a wooded area featuring a tree house as well as a large camping deck, dipping pool, and more! The meadow faces directly onto Shasta with Black Butte in the foreground. It has a platform large enough for a tent, and boasts a hammock slung over a smaller stream. Bring your camera!
The TreeHouse
Nestled in the shady strand of trees to the south of the meadow and just beside a flowing stream, the 120 sq ft treehouse is light-filled with panoramic views into the trees, meadow and mountains to the north. It also features a wraparound deck.
The Meadow
Out in the meadow, backed by a cluster of smaller trees (with a secret hammock) there is a good-sized platform with unobstructed views east to Mt. Shasta with Black Butte in the foreground.
The Deck
Right near the convergence of two streams there is a large raised deck overlooking the dipping pool and is the center of ShastaView with a fire pit and plenty of sleeping space.
The Pond
Just a 5 minute drive or downslope hike there is a beautiful reservoir with cool water for those hot days when you want a quick dip. Great for swimming and plenty big enough for paddle-boarding too.
The Dipping Pool
In the center of camp there is a big, flat section of the stream for dipping. It is fed by recent snow melt so perfect for the brave hearted and excellent for keeping drinks cold!
The View - Mt. Shasta
The property has a stunning view of Mt. Shasta with Black Butte in the foreground with a constantly changing atmospheric theater of cloud formations and spectacular sunsets over a huge swath of meadow with wildflowers, rivulets, and a local herd of deer.
